Tip of the Week: Establishing Consistency in Your Brewing Process

Establishing a routine to your brewing process is the best way to establish consistency from batch to batch. Josh Weikert has tips to follow in this CB&B video tip of the week.

In a perfect world, you’re brewing the same way every time, even if it’s not the “right” way every time. Brew your way, minimize the obvious faults, and aim for repeatability and consistency. As you make adjustments to your recipe or equipment, you’ll know the intentional changes aren’t a result of the process.

To get started on consistency, we recommend:
1. Measure the gravity at the start of the boil
2. Measure the runoff during your sparge
3. Track the volume change during your boil
