In addition to adding bitterness, hops also add a vast range of flavors, from fruity and citrusy to earthy and dank. You might want to experiment with pairing various hops in your recipes to create new and unique flavors. Here are some tips for selecting your hops:

  • Look for hops that have overlapping characteristics. For example, look for two varieties that have woodsy or citrusy flavors.
  • Consider the flavors that are different. If you've gone with two earthy hops varieties, you'll want to mix up the other flavors, so find one that's citrusy and another that's more floral or spicy.
