Here’s a numerical round up of some of the craft-beer industry’s biggest headlines in August.

45: Percent of its production that San Diego’s Saint Archer Brewery will increase with its summer expansion (pictured at top). The brewery now produces about 1,400 barrels each month and will soon be able to produce 2,500.

19: Years that Morgan Street Brewery in St. Louis, Missouri, has been open. Owners Steve Owings and Dennis Harper are retiring and selling the craft brewery, which brings in more than $3 million each year in revenue.

3,400: Beer bars were originally nominated by craftbeer.com readers for the website’s 2014 version of Great American Beer Bars. The list has been narrowed down to ten bars per region.

1,500: Dollars that it costs to license a brewery, big or small, in the state of West Virginia. The State Legislature’s Joint Commission on Economic Development has requested a study on the state’s craft-beer industry by the Joint Committee on Government and Finance to determine whether the licensing fees for craft breweries should be reduced.

60,000: Followers that the Unofficial Black Butte Porter Facebook page has. Pennsylvania-based Jimmy Barr has managed the page for five years, and Deschutes Brewery (Bend, Oregon) just hired him to be their director of unofficial social media.

30,000: The maximum number of barrels of beer that one brewery can sell each year in the state of Indiana. As a result of this limit, Sun King Brewing is building a new brewery that will be brewing by its sixth anniversary next summer.

50,000: Dollars that Batch Brewing in Detroit received from a Hatch Detroit grant for urban revival. The 4-barrel brewhouse will be Detroit’s first nanobrewery.

28: Planned taps to be installed at Sierra Nevada’s new digs in Mills River, North Carolina. There will be eight in the tasting room and twenty in the restaurant and taproom.
