Breckenridge Brewery 471 Small Batch IPA

Aroma: “Moderate malt sweetness, light toasty, light spicy, light floral, light nutty with some nice orange and citrus fruit character. A little pine. The malt sweetness adds to the nose in this beer.”

Flavor: “Sweet, with some spicy earthy hops to round, but not quite enough. Moderate malt sweetness, touch of bitterness, light spicy hops, fair bit of earthy, moderate toasty, touch of biscuit, light plum, light floral, moderately creamy. Bitterness is pleasant but slightly subdued.”

Overall: “Fun toasty malt with earthy/spicy hops. I would call this an English double IPA. Fun malt complexity with moderate bitterness, for someone who wants hops, but needs a bit of interesting malt. A well-executed double IPA with some interesting aromas and flavors one might not normally expect.”
