GOAL Brewing Bibingka Latte
What the brewers say
“Dessert stout treated with toasted coconut, Congolese vanilla beans, Mostra Philippine Heritage coffee beans.”
What our panel thought
“Assertive coconut and strong coffee hit the nose immediately. Almond Joy in a glass. It’s positively wild, super-pungent. Dark chocolate, vanilla, coconut mingle in a complex dance. Sweet, chewy, and big but at the same time, silky smooth and pleasant. Slight cinnamon spice provides nice depth. Sweeter than grandma on a Christmas morning, but if you can get beyond the sweetness, this is a fantastic and refined beer with layers of flavors to love.”
What our editors thought
“Absolutely stunning coffee note in the aroma—macadamia nut with a tropical floral highlight—as well as loads of toasted coconut. Thick, sweet, and rich in the sip but boldly balanced with smoothly polished roast-coffee bitterness, gorgeous coconut caramel midtones, and a drinkability that belies its strength and sweetness. It’s both indulgent and very drinkable, a potent and artful combination.”
