Incendiary Brewing Company Head in the Clouds

What the brewers say

“Brewed with pilsner malt and flaked oats. Hopped with Cashmere, Citra, Motueka, Cashmere Cryo.”

What our panel thought

“Soft bright haze. Tightly woven orange and vanilla notes on the nose. Surprising dash of bitterness greets you in the front of the sip. Orange peel, a touch of pith, grapefruit. Lack of depth on the finish with the citrus-hop notes rising above a soft and disappearing malt structure.”

What our editors thought

“Cotton candy, grape notes in the nose lead into a clunky, grainy body with a nondescript fruity bitterness.”

Trophy Brewing Company Cloud Surfer

“Simple aroma of white peach and grapefruit. A fruity, lightly earthy bitterness balances the crisp, sweet-leaning body. Has a rather snappier bite than the nose would have perhaps indicated. Whisps of ethanol. Lingering bitterness carries through the finish. Surprisingly brilliant clarity. West Coast hazy!”

Perennial Artisan Ales Something in the Orange

“A pillowy head invites you in for a tame lemonade, candied tangerine, tea-like aroma. Little maltiness, and a surprisingly muted flavor of black tea and fruit punch. Well-balanced mouthfeel. Finishes very dry.”

Slice Beer Company Kitty Milk

“Muted haze with a pop of depth in the glass. Punchy tropical-fruit aromas pull you in and elevate your expectations for the first sip. Deep hop tones play on top of a firm, yet soft, malt structure. Pineapple, orange peel, lingering mango. Sweet hop notes sing throughout the finish.”
