Pure Project Rain

What the brewers say

“A crushable, crisp, and clean pilsner, built with only the finest ingredients.”

What our panel thought

“Light sulfur aroma quickly dissipates into a nice balance of sweet candy pilsner malt with a touch of cherry blossom ester and herbal hops. That initial blast of malty sweetness slowly fades into spicy floral bitterness that carries into the finish. Dry and refreshing, if a bit amorphous.”

What our editors thought

“Zesty herbal and pepper notes in the nose give way to softer herbal notes with very light malt and minimal bitterness in the sip—echoes kellerpils.”

Pure Project Rain

“Fermentation character and floral hops perfectly integrated at the outset, yeast and herbal hop edge complementing each other. Medium bitterness. The hop profile moves into thyme, strawberry, and rosemary as it warms; the slightly sweet, grainy malt backbone shows itself more as well. Light on the palate. Finishes dry and quick.”

Pure Project Forgotten Brilliance

“Piney forest aromas dominate the nose, with brown sugar, light figs, wet grain. Heavy tones of caramel malt wrapped in vibrant dark-fruit notes. Sweet malt finish with a warming alcohol presence.”

Pure Project Super Beta

“Zesty citrus nose with tropical punch; notes of herbal hops, pine, peppery spice. In the flavor, resinous hops take the lead with citrus in support. Soft yet firm malt base. Finish leans bitter, but not harsh, with bright pops of orange and lemon.”
