Bitburger Triple Hop'd Lager

What the brewers say

“A beautiful harmony of German and American brewing styles. Full of grapefruit citrus and aromatic fruit notes, balanced by a bitter finish and light malt backbone.”

What our panel thought

“Grainy, sweet aroma; some earthy hops. Bitter, slightly chalky flavor; but balanced, bready, easily drinkable. Some flowery citrus hop flavors, but a touch muddled. Well-crafted base. Would be a solid play for a hoppy lager in the fridge.”

What our editors thought

“Lime, orange blossom, touch of musty earth on the nose. Sip borders on cloying, with a malty midsection amplified by fruit notes. Unresolved muddy earth-fruit tension in the hops.”
