Arizona Wilderness Brewing Every Day Is Earth Day

What the brewers say

“Brewed with Citra, Motueka, Sabro, and Strata hops as well as water-saving Sinagua malt.”

What our panel thought

“Strong mint and coconut notes up front, with orange, lime, dill, light diesel. Smooth, refined—lightly sweet malt, light bitterness, as hops dominate flavor; kumquat, bergamot, becoming floral and herbal in the finish. Light grassy notes. Some tea-like dryness and astringency. Not a classic hazy, by any stretch. Will confuse everyone.”

What our editors thought

“Spicy, peppery, peachy nose—engaging interplay. The sip brings similar flavors—subtle and smooth, with a rugged but bright character.”

REVIEWS FOR YOU >

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Refuge

“Sweet fruity nose of creamsicle, cranberries, and a bit of green herb. The hop flavor is much more herbal, with grapefruit pith, pine, and black currant. Very little malt character, substantial bitterness, warm alcohol flavors.”

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Strong Safety

“Bright citrus-forward aroma of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit pith with hints of green tea, earthy pine, cedar creates a compelling and complex nose. The heft of the alcohol is well-hidden, and the finish is pleasantly bitter. But the flavor lacks the aroma’s compelling complexity.”

Highland Park Brewery Training Bines

“Complex, fruity, herbal aroma. The flavor is citrus, light malt, and alcohol and finishes with a sweet lemon pithiness. The sweet, soft malt profile struggles to contrast the hop bitterness. Hop flavor is ultra-fruity, but more herbal than spicy.”
