Aroma: “A wonderful and complex coffee aroma, with mild vanilla and dark chocolate and cherry notes. Some perceived sweetness with rum, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate aromas dominant. Vanilla and espresso with a substantial malt sweetness and very pleasant bittersweet dark chocolate notes.”

Flavor: “Very bold, strong coffee flavor. Sweet malt profile, hints of vanilla, complex chocolate, slight spiciness, and earthiness. The sweetness is balanced well with the coffee roast and roast malt character. Finishes full-bodied and chocolaty. Nice warmth and smoothness for the size of this beer. A perfect blend of roast maltiness, malty chocolate notes, and intense espresso character.”

Overall: “This beer is simply perfect. Rum, vanilla, dark cherry, chocolate, and coffee make it a pleasure to drink. Can we devote the entire issue to this beer? I feel like I a need a fireplace, a silk robe, and a bear skin rug to properly enjoy this beer.”
