Aroma: “Very subtle overall. Light aroma of lemon, grass, floral, tropical fruit, and some pine resin. Touch of toasted grain and some sweet candy malt notes. More of the fruit notes come out as it warms.”
Flavor: “Just a touch of sweetness in the start. Light toasted and slight caramel malt notes support medium bitterness. Rich hops complexity with a strong tropical character—mango, pineapple, with hints of coconut, especially as it warms up. Very light body. Finish is slightly astringent/harsh.”
Overall: “Very interesting varietal hops character, balanced well with a surprisingly complex beer given the light color and body. Some rough edges, but I guess that’s what IPA is about. Hop flavors drive the complexity of this beer.”
