What the brewers say
Brewed with a blend of Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malts to create layered malt complexity within a clean drinkable lager beer.
What our panel thought
"Very hop-forward Festbier with plenty of sweet barley behind the hoppy nose, but Noble hop character dominates the aromatics. Toasty and doughy malt notes in the aroma create the impression of sweetness supported by a light floral hop note. Clean, and well-lagered. Hop bitterness is high, again, for style, but quite enjoyable. The doughy malt flavors are balanced by some nice, but subtle floral and perfume-like hop bitterness, but it definitely leans into the malty sweetness, as it should. Residual sweetness carries through the finish and provides a platform for the beer to stand upon while bolstering the impact of the clean lager profile. The smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel further accentuates the impression of sweetness."
What our editors thought
"Gentle but focused herbal nose, light with accessible floral highlights. Very light malt sweetness offers just enough heft to balance the light hops, without overplaying its hand. Passes the repeat drinkability test without sacrificing flavor."
