Brouwerij Lindemans Cuvée René

Aroma: “Fruit characters comes through: peach, some orange, pineapple, apricot, pear, a touch of banana, and light strawberry. Lactic tartness is present but not overpowering. Sharp Brett earthy notes add complexity.”

Flavor: “Blend accentuates the fruit notes—big peach and apricot, moderate plum, pear, and tangerine, light pineapple—and the high carbonation gives it definition. Tartness and Brett notes sit in the back with funk that isn’t overpowering. Bright acidity, quickly opens up to tangerine, ginger, and light mango. A light bit of leather and wood softens the edges. Nice lingering dry finish—extremely drinkable.”

Overall: “The complex flavors seem to mesh and flow well together. Acidity and tartness are well supported by delicate peach and apricot notes. This is a beautiful bright sour fruit bomb with wonderful fruit aromas and flavors, a bright acidity and a touch of Brett bitterness to bring us back down to earth.”
