Aroma: “Complex but suprisingly subdued hops aroma for a DIPA with earthy, piney, some grapefruit, citrus peel, orange, resin, and a touch of caramel malt sweetness.”

Flavor: “Strong, complex hops flavor comes through up front with a touch of orange/tangerine, grapefruit rind, and pine. Nice malt background with some sweet Grapenut character. Finish is bitter but balanced. Malty—hops didn’t cut through.”

Overall: “A nice hoppy beer with a malty backbone, nicely balanced and tasty. Lingering bitterness on the palate, but could be more bitter. Where’s the punch and the abrasive finish?”
