Aroma: “Moderate grape notes with a medium lactic sour notes and slight honey. Alcohol with low roast as it warms. Lacto sour, perhaps a hint of hops, with nice toffee to provide contrast. A touch of red wine, light pineapple, light plum, light caramel notes, and a hint of dates. Sweet and somewhat funky with hay/barn notes.”

Flavor: “High sourness up front with grape, apricot, cherry, and slight plum sweetness. Slow alcohol warming toward the end of the sip that transitions into a medium-lasting aftertaste of alcohol and tart. Medium sweetness complements the high sourness but stays in the background. Good funkiness as it warms up. The finish is balanced, with just enough malt to support the sourness.”

Overall: “Good balance of tartness and fruitiness with a slight caramel sweet note that puts it all together. Very well-balanced. Well-done sour that hides the alcohol fairly well.”
