What the brewers say

“Well-balanced porter with big notes of caramel and chocolate, hints of coffee and toasted malt. Rich and full-bodied.”

What our panel thought

“Roasted barley aroma with strong coffee notes. With notes of unsweetened baker’s chocolate, raspberry, turbinado, roasting chestnuts, this toes the line of flavorful and drinkable. Roasted malt bitterness balances. Herbal hop notes add some complexity.”

What our editors thought

“Creamy dulce-de-leche note softens the coffee and roast in the nose without sacrificing any of the structure, as it spans from sweet to smoke without missing a beat. The sip leads with chocolate and caramel playing against each other and a nice roasty bitterness, but gradually warms with bready caramel as it sits on the palate. Just a hint of herbal hops grounds it. Expansive yet concise.”
