Narragansett Brewing Co White Christmas Winter Warmer
What the brewers say
“English-style winter warmer brewed with cherry, sweet orange peel, and ginger. Huge malty taste up front with notes of English toffee and dried fruits accented by the special ingredients with a hint of spice and citrus from the hops.”
What our panel thought
“Playful aroma of orange marmalade, chocolate, and honey. Delectable caramel and fresh-baked pie crust with a tinge of dried fruit. The flavor offers a slight alcohol presence and more of that dark-fruit richness, as well as some brown sugar and an interesting spice profile from ginger and orange peel. The hint of bitterness offers an excellent contrast. The combination of ginger and alcohol warmth offers a really pleasant mouthfeel that defines the idea of a winter warmer.”
What our editors thought
“Fresh aroma with expected bready malt notes but a touch of lemon and an herbal brightness that belies its heft. Similarly nimble in the flavor, with a light chocolate herbal bitterness, only a hint of bready malt sweetness around the edges, and a lemony tea flavor note that feels invigorating.”
