Pax Verum Brewing Velvety Kush

What the brewers say

“Triple dry-hopped hazy IPA using Eukanot, Amarillo, Mosaic.”

What our panel thought

“Crazy nose of Sweet Tarts pineapple, juniper. Soft body of white bread maltiness lets the fruity mango-like hop notes shine. Low hop bitterness. An apricot-candy alcohol character lingers to add to the experience.”

What our editors thought

“Subtle, sophisticated NZ-hop floral and herbal notes play against soft peach and guava in the aroma. Very smooth tropical fruit–rind bitterness at the front of the sip drives a line through to the finish, as softer fruit highlights glimmer above, but it’s tightly integrated and essential.”

REVIEWS FOR YOU >

Pax Verum Brewing Nectar of the Gods

“Strawberry and breezy pine and grapefruit on the nose. A generous malt complexity adds depth to the beer. Thick body. Starts sweet, but ends with a clean, balanced finish. Really lies down in your mouth, takes a nap, and doesn’t wake up.”

Pax Verum Brewing Nectar of the Night

“Chocolate and red fruit in the aroma. Dark roast notes and a clean, soft chocolate flavor. Tempered pine and herbal licorice bitterness in the background. Chocolate and dark fruit appear as it warms. Slightly sweet and roasty finish with a lingering bitterness. Enough complexity to keep it interesting. Mouthfeel is heavier but really keeps everything together, especially on later sips.”

Pax Verum Brewing Untapped Potential

“Strikingly light-colored and clear. Soft nose. Bready notes give way to hints of white pepper and coriander plus some citrus and fruity esters. A tart and bitter initial sip leans into spicy and floral notes, then a nice malty sweetness emerges. Bright and refreshing.”
