Revelry Brewing Co. Hard Seltzer

What the brewers say

Mango and orange hard seltzer.

What our panel thought

Orange-forward nose with a hint of mango, light tropical background notes. Nuanced flavor—mango, lemon, orange, grapefruit. Has a more-ish quality. Slightly tart white wine–like character. Finishes dry, with grape notes and a light wash of mango lingering. Strong carbonation. Refreshing.

What our editors thought

Blocky ‘real fruit’ nose captures oily and herbal fruit atop more common traits. On the sip, warm-toned mango and orange just flirt with the edge of sweet. Slightly muddled—nowhere near as crisp as others—but the flavor and body satisfy.

Two Roads Brewing Co Raspberry H2Roads Craft Hard Seltzer

Fresh raspberry aroma—tart, and a hint of under-ripeness adds complexity. Carbonation level pops the fruit aromatics. Raspberry notes are not overpowering but don’t require a search party. A touch of sweetness softens the finish. Clean and refreshing with a touch of astringency from the fruit. The real fruit is more interesting than a mere essence.

Untitled Art Tropical Smoothie Seltzer

Super thick—fruit puree coats the glass. Nice tropical aroma pops like ambrosia salad. Flavor is really sweet, like a blended fruit cocktail. Mouthfeel is thick but somehow carbonated. More of a novelty than a daily driver. Diabetes-driven poolside Mexican resort drink.

pFriem Family Brewers Pilsner

“Brilliant hoppy nose; herbal profile shines brightly through, with subtle bready malt and flinty notes. Firm bitterness. Has a nice bite that lingers past the finish. Fermentation clean and well-done.”
