Golden Coast Mead Something, Something, Sour Mead

Aroma: “Sour citrus in the forefront braced by earthy orange and lime with moderately floral notes. The soft grassy honey becomes slightly musty with mushroom notes and mild oxidation. Mango, apricot, blackberry, and very light lactic notes shine with a touch of light floral honey and light vanilla.”

Flavor: “Citrus sour notes with a low honey finish make it a bit like a liquid sweet tart. Sharp acidity with light carbonics and a medium-thin body. A light sour puckering with moderate-high drying tannins and light vanilla-oak and citrusy-honey aftertaste. Refreshing, dry fruity chardonnay with a touch of vinegar and vanilla.”

Overall: “A sour mead with low honey expression. Tannins tend to overpower the light body. Pleasantly refreshing with a unique taste. If you like sour beers, and you like mango and citrus fruitiness, this is a great match.”
