Aroma: “Strong bold coffee character. Some dark fruit character, blueberry, dark roasted coffee, and moderate earthy hops.A touch of fruitiness, black pepper, and some green pepper earthiness. Moderate chocolate notes, but barely overcomes the coffee intensity.”

Flavor: “The coffee character carries through the beer leading to a dry chocolate finish. Intense coffee insanity continues, like a double shot of espresso poured over a melted Hershey kiss. The earthiness still lingers but it is much more mild than in the aroma.”

Overall: “A wonderful coffee beer that showcases the coffee beans well. It does verge on excessive, as displayed by the mild green pepper notes, but still delicious. Very sweet yet very roasty with chocolate and coffee. The coffee shines through from the beginning to the finish—a big, boozy coffee-forward stout with a great balance that makes it easy to drink.”
