Twin Barns Brewing Company Pitou Vienna Lager

What the brewers say

“Classic Vienna lager with a lighter touch on the malt side.”

What our panel thought

“Bold floral and perfume-like hop notes in the aroma emerge out of subtle hints of bread and cracker malt. The malt flavors of cracker and light toast support a well-balanced dose of floral and soapy bitterness. Finishes clean and crisp with just enough lingering bitterness.”

What our editors thought

“Deep golden color, light for the style. Simple aroma with very light floral hop notes, orange blossom. Clean and tight flavor in the sip, minimal sweetness but decent body, with a light crisp structure.”

Twin Barns Brewing Company Itssamee! Italian Pilsner

“Grands Biscuit aroma with some white pepper and floral hop notes. Flavor is slightly grainy with hints of lilac and honeysuckle that linger into a long floral finish. Bitterness is a bit low for a pils, but still enjoyable.”

Twin Barns Brewing Company Belknap Pils

“Spicy herbal hops and a hint of piecrust malt come together for an inviting aroma. Clean, floral, and perfume-like aromatics are balanced by a hint of malt and create a pleasant and inviting nose. Cracker and lightly grainy malt notes serve as a perfect canvas to both balance and showcase the floral and soapy hop bitterness. That bitterness, while distinct and present, is sufficiently restrained allowing for a near-perfect balance. The flavor develops the hops character nicely, adding a little more detail with some light floral notes. There’s enough clean malt to balance the crisp bitterness, without cloying or softening the finish. Hops flavor and bitterness last into the dry and taut finish—clean and refreshing with just a hint of lingering bitterness.”

Twin Barns Brewing Company Longridge Lager

Light, corn-like malt sweetness in the nose with twiggy, earthy-spicy Noble hops. Light, clean sweetness with evident bitterness and nice spicy-herbal hop flavor—rosemary, pine. A bit thin; malt depth is a faint whisper. Firm bitterness leads to a crisp, dry finish. Hops linger on the palate.
