What the brewers say

"Unencumbered by spice or flavor additives, this unique barrel aged imperial stout explodes with bourbon character, enveloping an incredibly complex base Imperial Stout with divine layers of chocolate malt flavor. It’s been slumbering for 10,176 hours, soaking up all that goodness - now it’s time to share."

What our panel thought

“Aroma evokes s’mores and a hefty pour of ruby port—fresh crusty bread, pile of raisins, rich dark chocolate. Flavor takes a heavy hand with burnt roast, counterbalanced by molasses, barrel complexity, black-pepper bitterness. Could use more time to mellow.”

What our editors thought

“Blackberry and port aroma with roasty undertones. In the flavor, roast acidity highlights red fruit notes for an initial berry shock that resolves into lingering roast coffee.”
