What the brewers say

Citra and Simcoe bring a pleasant mix of pine and citrus tones whilst the crystal malt lends itself to a sweetness and body that balances the bitterness.

What our panel thought

"Amber colored beer with an off white head, tiny rocky bubbles. Light pine, herbal thyme nose. Strong bitterness overpowers, thicker bodied underneath, light cherry, fruity, grapefruit hop flavor. Takes me back to the IBU wars days, a bit overpowering in the bittering department. | Big in-your-face pine notes assault the palate and nose on this beer. That pine component lingers powerfully on the tongue. Unfortunately there is not enough sweetness or malt complexity to help balance this, a very one component beer."

What our editors thought

"Endearing classic IPA nose with integrated hop notes and a smooth sip that feels comforting before it slips into a lightly bitter finish. Disappears on your tongue, as it should."
