180,000: Feet that sixteen strains of Ninkasi Brewing Company’s yeast, along with some of legendary Don Younger’s ashes, were launched into space. “We are sending yeast into space to see how it will react, and if [it is] successful [we’ll] brew some beer with it,” Jamie Floyd told OregonLive before the launch.

3,755: Cigarette butts that 144 representatives of Karl Strauss Brewery and the Surfrider Foundation picked up off the coast in San Diego at the 4th Annual Surfrider Beach Clean-Up. In total, the volunteers removed 278 pounds of trash from the beach that day.
