American Solera Dama de Tigre

What the brewers say

“Farmhouse ale aged in oak tanks with raspberries.”

What our panel thought

“Raspberry aroma is clean, fresh, and distinctive. Raspberries in the flavor enhance the fairly high clean lactic sourness, then linger into a quite dry finish. Fruit, acidity, and tartness are balanced very nicely.”

What our editors thought

“Bold and confident berry notes clearly expressed in the nose transition evenly in the sip, capturing all of the jammy richness with little distraction. It’s one note, but rings loud.”

American Solera Caballo Azul

“Big blueberry aroma, tart and not sweet, with old barnwood. Fresh blueberry flavor lingers into the aftertaste with melon and stone-fruit esters. Tannic astringency adds a pleasant structure and body.”

Perennial Artisan Ales Stepping into Tomorrow

Peppery aroma with woody, earthy, leathery _Brett_ evident in the background; low, spicy hops. Funk-forward flavor, with notes of wood, mushroom, light fruit, white pepper, and cardamom. Lingering tartness. Big but balanced. Well-made but lacking in complexity.

Yazoo Brewing Brett Saison

Zesty as hell—lemon-lime, white pepper, berries, wood, dry hay. Bright, crisp flavor; beautiful balance of light fruit, hints of pine and citrus, with a light spiciness that persists through the finish. Woody Brett notes in aftertaste. Pleasingly dry, with medium tartness balancing the limited residual malt. Light and refreshing despite the complexity, this is a fantastic beer.
