What the brewers say

"Imperial Stout with Vanilla, Coffee, and Chocolate."

What our panel thought

“Coffee dominates the aroma with a touch of chocolate. Nice interplay between the coffee and the base beer. Well-thought-out canvas of underlying sweetness and roast with patches of dark-fruit notes and vanilla. Sweet finish with a pleasant spice that hits you in the back of the throat, well-balanced with more roasted-coffee notes.”

What our editors thought

“Big caramel-coffee notes on the nose strike a latte pose. The sip tightens up the excess of the nose, with sharper (and slightly unforgiving) roast notes.”
