Blackberry Farm Brewery BFB IPA

What the brewers say

“A celebration of New World hops and all their versatility. Bursting with fruit, citrus, and complex aromas.”

What our panel thought

“Pine, candied orange, touch of lemon pith. Very light bready backbone supports perceived sweetness from the hops and the moderate dank and pine notes in the aroma. Flavor has a light toasted bread-crust base with a touch of honey. Smooth, moderate bittering lingers into a long clean finish.”

What our editors thought

“Blueberry and lemon aroma leads into a flavor that plays down the bitterness in favor of the berry and citrus notes. Quirky and unusual.”

Blackberry Farm Brewery BFB IPA

Mango and candied fruit jump from the glass. Round, bittersweet flavor—low malt but nice sweetness, candied fruit still there—then finishing a bit earthy and resin-astringent. Classically molded with Pacific roughness, hindering drinkability but somehow nostalgic and reassuring.

Blackberry Farm Brewery Stonefly

“Citrus and pine dominate the aroma and flavor. Light dank, mango nose. Smooth yet intense bitterness lingers on the tongue. Clean and bright, making it easy to drink. Strong notes of tangerine, melon, and papaya. Very dry finish.”

Blackberry Farm Brewery Inception

“Inviting, spicy, citrus-hops aroma, with unripe banana, lighter herb, grassy hop, backed by sweet, clean malt. Flavor builds on citrus and adds crisp, assertive bitterness—just enough body to support it—smoothly arising from the grapefruit center. Finish lingers with lemongrass; bitterness builds slowly. Smooth, satisfying.”
