What the brewers say

A petite saison brewed with orange peel and black peppercorns.

What our panel thought

Sweaty, dank aroma with notes of fresh citrus oil, wood, and grains of paradise. Somewhat resinous hop bitterness, peppery spice mid-palate, lingering into the aftertaste. Orange character adds weight and masks brighter qualities, while pepper clashes and muddles. Flavorful, defined by fruit and spice.

What our editors thought

Bright, light, and gauzy lemon nose develops with a touch of herbal spice. The sip is less fruit-forward, with hefty bitterness that’s part pith, part black pepper. Peppery note lingers and overpowers the softer lemon, leading to an austere finish.
