Brix Brewery & Taphouse Pink Raptor

What the brewers say

“Sweet plum complements the bright, tart notes of soursop and raspberry.”

What our panel thought

“Pleasant light fruit character throughout; raspberry jam. Delicate but balanced with hints of sweetness and a soft, tart finish. Sophisticated and subtle, if a bit one-dimensional.”

What our editors thought

“Soft grapefruit and light berry in the nose. The sip broadens with a body-building salinity and general tart fruitiness, without grasping onto specific fruit definition. Finishes with an overripe tropical-fruit note that never gets too sweet, despite its funky imprecision.”

Brix Brewery & Taphouse Greeley Nights

Soft chocolate and coffee aroma. Good head with solid retention. Clean, solid toast, biscuit, light chocolate and coffee roast. Soft, even bittering adds a balancing back note, but throughout hops are restrained, adding a bit of spicy flavor. The finish turns nuttier. Excellent depth and great balance.

°Brix Brew & Tap Greeley Beer

“Nose of spicy, floral hop aromatics; some green pepper and green onion. Bright, straightforward biscuit malt flavor; soft herbal-floral hops underneath. Subtle notes of cracker, bread, and light toast fail to stand up to the hop flavors. Pleasant bitter finish. Dry and enticing.”

Highland Park Brewery New View

“Tropical New World hops galore—mango, coconut, vanilla, and more. Flavor matches hop notes in the aroma with medium-low bitterness. Clean (hazy appearance aside), at the expense of lager character, and the heavier body departs from the snappier lager expectations. Defies style descriptions.”
