Ghostfish Brewing Company It Came from the Haze

What the brewers say

“This juicy gem elicits tropical-fruit, citrus, floral, and pine aromas, with subtle notes of melon, strawberry, and dark fruits.”

What our panel thought

“Nose is pleasantly tropical up front with an unexpected dank, resinous note in the taste. Honeydew melon aromatics with a little background cut grass. Soft mineral quality allows hop flavors to linger pleasantly. Hazy beer, but head is nonexistent.”

What our editors thought

“Punchy floral notes and a touch of bubblegum on the nose. In the sip, an edge of tropical bitterness runs through, but it lacks the sweetness to sell some of the fruitier elements.”

Brewskey Pub & Taproom Singularity Citra

“Funky overripe melon and pineapple in the nose. A firm bitterness, some dank, diesel hop flavor followed by fresh melon. Just a slight sharpness fades away into softer flavors and a lasting sweeter finish.”

New Anthem Beer Project Strange Spot In The Sky

“Deep orange haze. Soft aromas with lingering citrus notes. Orange notes with layers of vanilla and pepper. Velvety finish with soothing citrus-hop flavors with an elevated bitterness. Spirited yet straightforward.”

Urban South Glimmer of Hops

Bright, complex aroma: peach, candied orange, lemon, passion fruit, subtle pine in the background. That carries into flavor, with intense sweetness balanced by plenty of bitterness—distinct but not harsh. Heavy citric notes play into dryness of finish. Canned tropical sunshine.
