Girdwood Brewing Company Funkberry Pie

What the brewers say

“Showcases the tartness of blackberries, peaches, and blueberries.”

What our panel thought

“Attractive aromas with layers of multiple berries, vanilla, and a welcoming bakery vibe. Jammy flavors abound, with deep notes of blackberry, blueberry, strawberry. Rounded structure lets the fruit sing. Sweet finish, with just enough acidity.”

What our editors thought

“Toasty berry-peach-cobbler nose, crust and all. The sip is rich and intense without veering too sweet, as sharper berry notes meet softer stone fruit with a bit of vanilla-like roundness. Bold but welcoming.”

Girdwood Brewing Company Crow Creek Gold

Soft, lemony aromatics. Nicely balanced, rounded flavor—soft lemon notes with a decent amount of hop-bitterness to balance it. Tart, lemon-meringue flavor. Well balanced fruity pilsner. Dry finish. Very light, not quite thin. Elegant interpretation. Very enjoyable.

Uhl’s Brewing Co Raspricot Shleemies

“Deep pink pour. Brilliant citrus-hop nose with a soft honey note. Full body, with citrus-tropical hop juice shining all the way with a raspberry touch. Intriguing blend of hops and fruit. Pleasant acidity.”

Birds Fly South Ale Project Czech-Style Pilsner

Subtle aroma—light sweetness, nuttier malt edges, zesty-floral hop notes. On the palate, a light and dusty bitterness, as light, clean, sweet malt pushes some floral-zesty hop flavor. Finishes clean and dry. Pleasant and bright hop character. Easy drinking. Slightly rustic.
