Motosonora Brewing Fog Lights IPA

What the brewers say

“Somewhere between West Coast and Hazy lies the balance of juice and bitterness you will find in Fog Lights IPA.”

What our panel thought

“Big fruity nose of orange, peach, pineapple, cherry, mango, gooseberry, and a kiss of pine. Nice hop complexity is just supported by a clean malt bill that provides medium-low bready notes. Medium-high bitterness is in balance and lingers into the dry finish that has light crackery notes.”

What our editors thought

“Layered citrus and spice in the nose, light but even keel. The two play together smoothly and concisely in the sip, thoroughly well-integrated.”

Motosonora Brewing Victory or Death IPA

“Herbal, grassy, and leafy green hop notes, with a bit of tarragon. Light and pleasant with no aggressive sulfur notes, and the malt is pleasantly supportive without trying to intrude. Bitterness is firm but doesn’t overpower the dry fruity aftertaste. Very clean—an outstanding IPA for the not-yet-jaded hophead.”

Upslope Brewing Company - Flatiron Park Spiked Snowmelt Grapefruit & Hops

“Earthy citrus nose of lemongrass and orange zest takes you on a different journey than you expect from a seltzer. A little bitterness counteracts a little too much artificial sweetness. Would benefit from more carbonation to liven things and provide more balance. Delicate, different, and enjoyable.”

Incendiary Brewing Company Turn the Tide

“Dark berries, rhubarb, and lemon blossoms. The sip nearly convinces one is eating lemon-blueberry muffins. Firm bitterness on the right part of the palate shows modern IBU restraint, and the dry finish leaves one wanting another sip.”
