What the brewers say

Mixed-culture Brett saison brewed with aged hops. Fermented and aged in an American oak foeder.

What our panel thought

Tangy aroma of straw, white-wine cellar, light barnyard, tart pears, lemon peel. Soft, rounded flavor—tart, tangy, dry—with low barnyard and vinous peachy notes. High carbonation. Moderate, resinous bitterness clashes a bit with the bright profile. Lingering sour tinge. Really nice.

What our editors thought

Peach peel and balsamic on the nose, with light straw and hint of sharp grapefruit. The sip brings that grapefruity acidity and bitterness forward in soft focus, drying into a pleasing and clever pithy-grapefruit linger. Characterful interplay of hops and yeast.
