Our Mutual Friend Brewing Memory Rediscovered

What the brewers say

A mixed-culture sour ale with peaches and vanilla. Medium acidity, dry, slightly tannic finish.

What our panel thought

Sweet, floral fruit in the nose, like ripe, peeled apricot/peach. Touch of Brett and citrus. Cinnamon notes emerge as it warms. Tangy, juicy peach/apricot flavor, moderately sweet up front before dissolving in the sparkles into an earthy dryness and lasting tang.

What our editors thought

Sulphur and peach on the nose with a darker undertone of tobacco and dark chocolate. The sip drips in sweet candied peach with a straightforward simplicity one might expect from an un-aged sour beer. “Juicy” peach amplified by vanilla, for an accessible pop hit.
