What the brewers say

“IPA brewed and dry hopped with solely Galaxy.”

What our panel thought

“Orange pith, ripe peach, lightly toasted cracker, and a touch of herbal pine throughout. Low bread crusts in the flavor let the herbal hops shine, with the flavor also adding low honey notes and moderate gooseberry and tropical fruits, particularly guava. Medium bittering is smooth and lingers into an herbal and fruity finish.”

What our editors thought

“Bright post-rainstorm freshness and orange notes in the nose. Firm malt with a nice line—the tropical edge is rounded, but a subtle bitterness pushes through.”

Flying Embers Cherry Hibiscus Lime

“In the aroma, strawberry, pineapple, limeade, cherry. Cherry, lime, and raspberry in the flavor—tastes like a Sonic cherry limeade. Equally sweet and tart with a ginger-like spice to accentuate the tartness. The acid and fruit tannins create a drying effect and keep it drinkable.”

Perennial Artisan Ales Something in the Orange

“A pillowy head invites you in for a tame lemonade, candied tangerine, tea-like aroma. Little maltiness, and a surprisingly muted flavor of black tea and fruit punch. Well-balanced mouthfeel. Finishes very dry.”

Alma Mader Brewing Parlez

“Grainy toasted malt with a dry corn-like back. Graceful herbal aromatics with an overlay of white bready malt. Noble hop flavor with a touch of pleasant sulfur and a hint of stone fruit. Malt is subdued and well-aligned with a gentle hop character. Pleasant drinkability.”
