Radiant Beer Co DDH Hope Like Fire

What the brewers say

“Experience a rush of stone-fruit character and a blaze of tropical juiciness in this smooth, full-bodied showcase of Citra and Nelson hops.”

What our panel thought

“Hops dominate aroma with grapefruit, tangerine, coconut, sweet-sour candy, and spice. Deep hop flavor—a citrus cascade—with tangerine, grapefruit, zest, and pithy bitterness. Tooth-coating citrus-oil note, chewy mouthfeel. Balancing malt sweetness. Complex hop character.”

What our editors thought

“Intense nose with layered kiwi, lychee, peach, apricot, and orange. Bright, punchy bitterness recedes into a pulpy, chewy body that’s neither sweet nor bitter.”

REVIEWS FOR YOU >

Standard Brewing OK Fine

Decidedly citrus-forward aromas and flavors of orange peel, lemon, and tangerine with some earthy and piney aspects hiding the background. The soft mouthfeel accentuates the pleasant and sweeter hops notes for an approachability for the bitter-beer hater. The finish is bitter but not harsh or astringent and has a curious citrus tang to it.

WeldWerks Double Guava Milkshake

Deep orange color with chunks. Distinctive guava nose with vanilla. Balanced mouthfeel between the lactose and fruit while allowing the base beer to show itself. Sweet by design, but restrained.

Radiant Beer Co Having a Moment

“Citrus hop elements (a blend of orange, orange blossom, and grapefruit) form the heart of this beer. Hop flavor dominates with lemongrass, lemon zest, light pine resin, black pepper, plus a simple biscuit malt with a hint of sweetness. Clean, firm hop bitterness. Mostly dry finish with light citrus-fruit sweetness.”
