Templin Family Brewing Munich Style Helles

What the brewers say

“German-style pale lager.”

What our panel thought

“Perfectly clear light golden, large, bright white head that stays around. Subdued aromas of herbal hops and soft bread. Grainy, slightly toasty malt flavors. The moderate clean bitterness from the hops just balances the malt character. Clean, dry finish, with a light herbal hop finish. Very light and drinkable but somewhat one dimensional.”

What our editors thought

“Bright balanced floral-herbal aroma with a hefty malt support. Cool and herbal in the sip, light body and refined.”

Templin Family Brewing Granary KellerBier

“Aromas of bread dough rising in a warm square of sun; graham cracker intermingles with white-pepper spicy hops. Lots of crackery malt throughout, with just a slight bitterness peeping out at the end. Hops are quite mild at first, building over time. The texture is very light and crisp, like a delicate water cracker. Highly attenuated, balancing the malt and Noble hops almost perfectly. Bitterness is a bit coating at the end. A perfect beer to enjoy this summer after mowing the lawn or simply relaxing. The clean finish makes you come back for more.”

Templin Family Brewing 210 IPA

“Light diesel and fruity tangerine up front from a smooth blend of esters and citrusy hops. Strong lemon and lemon-candy hop flavor, light notes of pine, pepper, and grass. Simple crackery/bready malt backbone. Bitter finish builds in the lingering aftertaste, balancing the fruity-hops blend.”

Templin Family Brewing Ferda Double India Pale Ale

“Straightforward and, dare one say, simple. Bright hop flavor, fresh cones. Floral, dew on a rose, with touch of wood. Underlying cannabis note. Sweet alcohol in the mouth, without being hot. Clean malt flavor, lingering spicy notes. Never in-your-face bitter, but persistent.”
