Rewind to March 2020, when COVID-19 sweems to bring everything to a halt: People around the globe are on edge as businesses close and friends and family isolate from one another. Seemingly overnight, the world flips upside-down.
We talked to countless customers who were worried about their business, their livelihoods, and their families. After hearing so many of these stories, we wanted to do something about it. We wanted to find a way to give back to the craft beer community, to bring joy and hope to brewery owners, and we wanted to find a way to put a smile on people’s faces from afar (or at least six feet).
The ABS Giveback Campaign is something that the members of the craft beer industry can look forward to, with no strings attached. We wanted to give back to everyone, not just our customers, which is why we kicked the campaign off by giving away an ABS Commercial Keg Viking Keg Washer. No matter the size of the brewery, a keg washer is almost a necessity. We wanted to give back something that would increase productivity, reduce headaches, and be a tool to achieve a higher level of success.
The ABS Giveback Campaign has been a huge success. So far, we have received nearly 6,000 entry submissions. We are proud to say that we have given away three Keg Vikings to three lucky breweries from different parts of the country.
Our first winner was A.J, Breichbel, assistant brewer at Rough Edges Brewing Company in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania (pictured below).
Our second winner was Jim Stutzman, owner of Lazy Horse Brewing Company in Ohiowa, Nebraska (pictured below).
Our third and most recent winner was Jamie Kidwell-Brix, owner and brewer at Earthen Ales in Traverse City, Michigan (pictured below).
Our ABS Commercial family has been thrilled with the success of the ABS Giveback Campaign and has had so much fun seeing, and hearing, the excitement from all of the winners. With all of that said, we are super excited to announce that we will be giving away two more Keg Viking Keg Washers by December of this year!
The first Keg Viking will be given away at the Craft Brewers Conference in Denver, Colorado, in September this year. So, if you are planning to attend CBC, be sure to stop by the ABS Commercial booth and enter to win. Only people attending the conference will have a chance to win.
We will give away the second Keg Viking in December, and it will be open to anyone who works for a brewery in the United States. Whether it’s the head brewer or the bartender, as long as you're employed by a brewery, you could win. All you have to do is stay tuned and fill out the entry form on the ABS Commercial website.
