Here’s a numerical roundup of some of the biggest headlines about craft beer in March.

7.8: Percent by volume for craft beer of the total U.S. beer market. The Brewers Association released 2013 industry data that revealed this percent by volume is up from 6.5 percent in 2012.

14.3: Billion dollars. The retail dollar value from craft brewers in the U.S. beer market in 2013, another statistic from the Brewers Association economic report.

300: The number of national and international awards that Full Sail Brewing Company has collected since its founding in 1987. The Hood River brewery most recently scored the Craft Brewer Of The Year designation from Beverage World Magazine.

225,000: Barrels. The capacity of Victory Brewing’s recently opened second brewery in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. Slated for the new 140,000-square-foot building is a new brewpub, beer garden, and entertaining and education space.

12.7: Percent increase in overall case growth of canned craft beer in 2013. A press release by SweetWater Brewery out of Atlanta, Georgia, reveals this percentage, as well as a 3.5 percent increase in the can segment of craft beer last year.

5,014: The number of jobs that are created by Colorado’s craft beer industry. In collaboration with the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business, the Colorado Brewers Guild released an economic impact study this month, which revealed an $826 million impact. 282,526: Barrels of craft beer that were exported out of the United States in 2013, which reflects a 49 percent increase.
