What the brewers say

Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Nice herbal, spicy notes with good citrusy lemon in the back. Light, sweet wheat character. Understated saison aroma profile.”

Flavor: “Good balance of sweet citrus character. Very prominent lemon, light malt character and a hint of bittering hops that work well with the yeast. White pepper, some notes of coriander and banana and pear esters. High carbonation gives a little acidity in the dry finish.”

Overall: “Nice balance to this mellow, approachable, understated session or table beer. A little lacking in body and no head retention. A light and refreshing beer. Highly drinkable everyday saison.”
