Elysian Brewing Dragonstooth Stout

What the brewers say

"Pours a deep, midnight black with a light tan head. Smells of coffee and dark chocolate and the mouthfeel is velvety smooth with flavors of roasted malts, oatmeal and warm bread. Dragonstooth is a very drinkable stout - satisfying but not heavy."

What our panel thought

“Muted aroma with soft hints of espresso, chocolate. Light pine/citrus hoppiness, dark roast, caramel body to balance. Well-integrated and balanced malt richness with some underlying alcoholic heat.”

What our editors thought

“Bold PNW hop nose with intense roast notes alongside. Simultaneous hop and roast agendas with big and uncompromising flavors of both.”
