What the brewers say

“Semidry foreign export stout. Flavors of espresso, dark chocolate, undertones of dark fruit.”

What our panel thought

“Aroma of coffee, toast, and dark chocolate. Lightly smoky. Light raisin and black currant. Soft woody/cedar-like hop aroma. Very malt forward. Light raisin and blackstrap molasses flavors. Finishes mostly dry. Roast lingers and ends up a bit smoky. Hop bitterness shows up in the finish.”

What our editors thought

“Simple nutty aroma with a bit of darker roast malt. Chewy in the sip with a thick grainy middle and a light herbal bitter hop finish.”
