What the brewers say

"Imperial stout fermented on cocoa nibs, raspberries, and maple syrup."

What our panel thought

“Aroma reminiscent of a raspberry-chocolate dessert (heavy on the raspberry). More balanced flavor profile, with dry, dark chocolate up front playing with bitter raspberry. The acid from the raspberries balances the sweeter malt flavors on the middle-back end. Drinks a little light.”

What our editors thought

“Big berry notes on the nose with a rounded sweetness more than berry tannin. In the sip, the dark chocolate comes forward, dusty and dry, pushing the berry notes to the retronasal. Pleasantly restrained.”

Uinta Brewing Grapefruit Nosh

Pleasant grapefruit zest-and-juice aroma. Bright grapefruit throughout pairs well with old-school caramel and pine-citrus hops. Lightly tart, with pithy bitterness balancing sweet heavy fruit, while unassuming malt provides body. Finishes dry and a bit tart, making you want more.

Four City Brewing Company Four City Brewing Company St Cloud Belgian Style Dubble

“Malty with a nice light phenol, peppery, bubblegum yeast. Yeast-driven flavor, pepper, light cherry gum, raisin, and phenols. Soft, with a punch of alcohol toward the back and a medium semisweet finish.”

Four City Brewing Company Four City Stout

“Somewhat muted aroma with chocolate and a hint of black marker and a tart edge. Slight burnt notes. Nice roast in the body, with clean coffee and light milk-chocolate flavors. Finish is dry, creamy with some lingering grassiness and a touch of sweetness. Clean overall. Solid beer. Good drinkability.”
