The Eighth State Brewing Company Launch Mode: Barley Stoutland

What the brewers say

Blend of Barleywine and Stout finished with Ugandan Vanilla, Palo Santo, Caramel, and Toasted Coconut. This iteration of one of our past favorites, comes to light anew. No longer stout, but not entirely Barleywine this complex being reemerges as a light bringer.

What our panel thought

What our editors thought

Beachy vibes in the aroma with strong coconut and vanilla that suggests cocktails despite the dark color of the beer. Tangy in the sip with an almost pineapple acidity that amplifies the woody malt and barrel character at the expense of the cohesion.
