What the brewers say

“Motueka, Simcoe, and Citra-hopped triple India Pale Ale.”

What our panel thought

“Notes of orange, lemon, and a touch of passion fruit mix with pine and a hint of caramel malt in the aroma. Vibrant citrus notes pop off the palate. The citrus-and-pine flavor battle plays out atop a sufficiently sweet malt body, allowing their bitterness to shine. Alcoholic heat isn’t harsh.”

What our editors thought

“Clean forest and citrus nose, sophisticated and restrained. Sweet tangerine and orange in the sip isn’t balanced by any obvious bitterness, yet doesn’t feel out of place.”
