What the brewers say

“American oak foeder-aged Czech dark lager.”

What our panel thought

“Floral and lightly perfume-like hop notes dance atop the dark roast, chocolate, and coffee-like malt aromatics. The chocolate notes really emerge in the flavor creating a nice bittersweet element to balance the dark roasted flavors and tie in the floral hop aspects. A bitter coffee-like roast note lingers into the finish and flirts with coming across heavy-handed.”

What our editors thought

“Very light roast with a sweet floral edge. Flavor is light with only hints of darker malt character, and a firm herbal bitterness carries through.”

Precarious Beer Project Leaven To Rest

“Bright honey notes tamped down with a slight pleasant bitterness. Musty honey nose with a light citrus fruit underneath. Light grassy floral-hop note as it warms. One note, but an enjoyable one and well crafted. Quite light, clean, and refreshing.”

Uhl’s Brewing Co Raspricot Shleemies

“Deep pink pour. Brilliant citrus-hop nose with a soft honey note. Full body, with citrus-tropical hop juice shining all the way with a raspberry touch. Intriguing blend of hops and fruit. Pleasant acidity.”

Precarious Beer Project Precarious Pils

“Very unassuming aromatics of perfume, light pine, and hints of grapefruit create a fun nose. Flavor is much more assertive with some bitter citrus and floral notes within a clean, light malt body. Pleasantly bitter finish is clean and crisp.”
