What the brewers say

Whatever flames upon the night/Man’s own resinous heart has fed. A beer that celebrates the extraction of hop resin for a concentrated yet balanced brew.

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Honey and citrus up front, like an orange slice dipped in orange blossom honey. Some grapefruit, resin, pine, lemon balm, mint.”

Flavor: “Sweet, over-ripe orange and orange peel with a nice supportive malt backbone with a honey sweetness that plays nicely with the hops. Still bitter in the finish but balanced with some sweetness.”

Overall: “Well-balanced and hop forward. The honey and citrus pair very nicely together. First the complex flower-citrus-hop thing with aroma and flavor, then you swallow and get some bitterness. Well-executed. That first sip will have you wanting a second one.”
