What the brewers say

"Mango and raspberry."

What our panel thought

"A modern take on the marriage of two classic styles. The tannic aspects of the raspberry accentuate some subtle oak-derived tannins, and the sweet tropical mango flavors serve to balance the tartness of the berry and bring things into a sense of cohesion."

What our editors thought

"A slightly medicinal nose, but on the sip, the acidity is bright and immediate while the tart berry fruit notes amplify without becoming overbearing. It finishes quickly and cleanly."

Goose Island Beer Company Lolita

**Aroma:** “Lovely aromatics—floral, honey, berry, and light pineapple with a bit of apricot and cherry. Mild sweaty *Brett* goodness and more as it warms.” **Flavor:** “Flowers first with delicate berry notes, moderate jammy notes and acidity, some sweet malt, light lemon zest, and big raspberry. Fruit tannins and acidity help balance the sweetness. Just enough bitterness to round things out with some *Brett* in the aftertaste. Light tannic notes add structure and support fruit and sour notes. High tartness with a slight “fresh hops” note.” **Overall:** “This is a big fruity, jammy beer, with supporting acids and *Brett*-derived fruit notes such as pineapple. Fruit lovers should drink it cool, while *Brett* lovers should let it warm up to bring out more funk. The initial taste up front reminds me of homegrown hops. It would pair well with pan-seared salmon or spicy tuna rolls, and it would be a great marinade for ceviche.”

Black Project OXCART (2018)

Subtle and restrained funkiness on the nose with notes of leather, oak, lemon, peach, and horse blanket. This is paired with a soft grainy malt body and slightly tart finish. Refreshing and crisp with delicate fermentation notes. Really well-done.

American Solera PSS

Bright, light, cream-soda color. Boozy eggnog aroma—cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger wrapped in bourbon vanilla. Dry flavor is surprising—sweet tart, apples, pears, white-wine grapes, high vanilla notes. Spicy bite. Finishes a touch tannic and bitter. Interesting complexity.
