"Aroma is all candied fruit—orange, peach, passion fruit, mango, subtle ripe strawberry. More of that in flavor, with decent bitter punch to cut the sweetness, like white sugar dusted atop fresh fruit. Malt and hops get muddled in the alcoholic warmth. Rough around the edges."

Firestone Walker Brewing Co Luponic 18

“Sweet, clear notes of candied orange peel and lemon drop with fainter green-dank notes. A firm, quick, and clean bitterness drives into a dry finish. Crisp as all-get-out. Some carbonic bite. Refreshing, clean, addictive, without being hugely expressive.”

Cerebral Phantom Transmission

Noticeable lemon, apricot on a broad spectrum of aromas, including honeysuckle, pink peppercorns, mandarin, and papaya. Those carry into the flavor, with a rich malt sweetness and restrained but dank bitterness, which lingers with moldy, metallic tones. Rounded mouthfeel heightens fruity notes.

Upland Brewing Juiced in Time

Aroma: “Tropical mango and passion fruit. Orange, white grape, lemon, strawberry, underripe raspberries. A bit herbal and bready.” Flavor: “Rich tropical-fruit notes with a fair bit of sweetness. Peach, guava, pineapple, orange. Moderate bitterness and fairly dry finish.” Overall: “All the hops, little of the bitter. The brewer did an excellent job of highlighting some delicious hops flavor with an excellent addition of malt and yeast character to create a great example of the style.”

New Belgium Dominga Grapefruit
